United Nations Assoc. of Greater PhiladelphiaThe United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphiastrives to make our city and our citizens proud of the fact that the principles underlying the Declaration of Human Rights can be traced back to the work embodied in the US Constitution; we own that heritage, let’s use it. They offer workshops and mentoring programs for young professionals, college and high school students. American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that promotes lasting peace with justice, as a practical expression of faith in action. Drawing on continuing spiritual insights and working with people of many backgrounds, they nurture the seeds of change and respect for human life that transform social relations and systems. AFSC has numerous ongoing take action projects that are global in breadth and enable students to analyze and engage in global issues in depth.

The International House of Philadelphia is a hub of international culture, that presents hundreds of public programs throughout the year to Philadelphia-area residents, fostering a global community by celebrating the world’s cultural diversity and exploring issues from an international perspective. The IHouse has a legacy of introducing international art and culture to Philadelphia, while at the same time acclimating residents to the American way of life. Beyond the well-known film program, the Ihouse also hosts over 200 events each year including concerts, art exhibits, seminars, symposiums, receptions, cultural & cuisine events, and more.
